The Beta Club meets for one hour on one Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. (alternating club dates with ESA). New members are inducted at our annual Honors Induction services in September and January. High school students (9th-12th grade) and their parents will receive an invitation by email if they are eligible for induction. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or higher in order to be inducted into the club. This GPA must be maintained throughout the year in order to remain a member in good standing. Students must also have a good reputation in the community and among the faculty and their peers at school. Students must have attended King’s for at least one full semester or be transferring in with an accredited transcript from another school before being considered for induction. In addition to maintaining the required GPA, Betas will be required to attend meetings, complete participation projects, and pay dues. Club dues are $15 for new members and $10 for returning members. For questions, please contact sponsor Monica Wilkes.
We are proud to note that out of several hundred applicants each year, The King's Academy's has had a club member reach the National Beta Club Scholarship finalist level in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, with two finalists from our school being named in 2015!
