Our curriculum follows the course requirements for all Georgia postsecondary institutions, and the course load is designed to prepare students for entry into the college or university of their choice. As a result, all high school students graduate with a college preparatory diploma. TKA had its first graduating class in 2004, and since that time we have successfully graduated over 500 students. Our students are consistently accepted into and graduate from well-known Georgia colleges and numerous out of state schools including several premier universities and military academies.  TKA alumni are now in the workforce at many major organizations across the United States and overseas and serve in a variety of vocational fields including health care, law, education, military, public relations, communications, marketing, sales, information technology, the arts & entertainment, and full-time Protestant Christian ministry.  We are blessed to be able to provide a solid Christian education that is reaping life-long benefits in the lives of so many.

High School Guidance

Our guidance office works diligently with high school students to prepare them for graduation and beyond. We provide SAT and ACT preparation, college exploration, and career planning using the Naviance Student portal. Freshman take a "Freshman Focus" course designed to prepare them for success in high school, Sophomores enjoy an extensive college fair event held on our campus, juniors attend a college visitation trip to get a snapshot of both large and small, Christian and secular universities over two days, and our seniors begin the year with a special senior retreat kickoff and receive personal attention throughout the year to finalize their post-graduation plans.  At our graduation ceremony, we recognize our valedictorian and salutatorian, and award several honors including The King's Academy Leadership Award (with monetary scholarship), Legacy Award, AJC Cup, Citizenship Award, and Academic Excellence Awards by subject area.

Dual Enrollment

Since TKA's inception in 1999, high school students have enjoyed participation in Georgia's Dual Enrollment program. This program allows high school students to take college courses at participating postsecondary institutions earning them coursework credit at both the high school and college level. On-campus classes can be taken at a number of schools including Kennesaw State University, Chattahoochee Technical College, Reinhardt College, Georgia Highlands, and the University of North Georgia.  Our students have also taken advantage of dual enrollment online with Christian institutions such as Truett-McConnell University, Liberty University, and Toccoa Falls College.

We have been blessed to have a long and successful track record with dual enrollment at The King's Academy, and our students have benefited tremendously.  If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact our guidance office.

Career, Technical, and Agriculture Education (C.T.A.E)

In partnership with Chattahoochee Technical College, the CTAE program prepares 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students for career readiness in a variety of technical paths.  Paths include business sciences, computer information systems, digital media technologies, public and professional services, technical studies (building, transportation, manufacturing, and engineering) and health sciences. The CTAE is more than a dual enrollment program, it provides an opportunity for students to earn a certificate or an associate degree while completing their high school diploma. Due to TKA’s unique hybrid model, our students have increased flexibility to complete these courses alongside their high school coursework. Popular areas of study include:

  • Accounting
  • Computer Programming
  • Web Application Development
  • Design and Media Production
  • Cosmetology
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Joining and Welding
  • Nursing
Student Involvement

The high school years are an important time of preparation for adult life. We provide numerous opportunities for students to discover their God-given talents and to learn how to engage with and serve others.

Our campus life page details the many extracurricular and ministry opportunities available to students.  These activities also provide the basis for a well-rounded portfolio for college entrance and employment applications.
