Journalism

Journalism is an accredited English elective available to high school students who are talented in the area of writing, photography, and graphic design. Students must undergo an application process in May of the previous school year to be included as space is limited. Journalism meets every Thursday. These students produce the award-winning newspaper "The Verve" as well as a special, end-of-year publication and have opportunity to be inducted into the national honor society for high school journalists, Quill and Scroll. For more information, contact sponsor Shannon McGahee or visit The Verve online.

Yearbook

Yearbook is an accredited academic high school elective. All high school students are invited to apply for yearbook class at the end of each school year.  We look for creative students who enjoy writing, photography, editing, and marketing. We meet every Thursday on Club and Lab Days. Work can be done at home on personal computers, as well. In class, students work together to produce our TKA yearbook. Contact Sponsors Tina Barker or Angela Floyd with any questions.
