What is the Foundations for the Future Fund?

The Foundations for the Future Fund is an annual fundraising initiative for The King’s Academy. It has been established to support the continued development of our school and enhancement of its programs. While tuition covers the primary costs of education, our annual giving campaign will supply revenue for a wide variety of student activities, special projects, and ongoing improvement of campus facilities.

Our goal is 100% participation from our families, and your gifts in any amount will enable students to enjoy an exceptional and well-rounded educational experience in a Christ-centered environment.  With the help and generosity of alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends, we are building the Foundations for the Future of the current and next TKA generation.  

Why is the Foundations for the Future Fund important to our school?

As the name of the fund indicates, we desire to build a solid foundation for the future growth and improvement of The King’s Academy. A consistent and strategic plan of giving will enable us to maintain our commitment to keep tuition low for years to come. At TKA, family tuition dollars have always met our annual operating budget for education and operating expenses. However, these dollars are not able to cover capital campaigns, facility improvements, or enhancements to student programs. Some examples of capital improvements in the last few years have included school safety upgrades, High School and Lower School renovations, Hopewell property purchase and current athletic complex development, including the new stadium and second gymnasium. These improvements are not possible without additional funding.

Another very important purpose for the fund is to position the school to successfully apply for educational grants. These funds are an invaluable resource for schools, but they are not granted without evidence of significant participation and commitment from the school’s constituents. As noted, our annual target will be 100% participation with donations of all sizes counting toward this goal.

Finally, this initiative allows families to pay it forward. Your donation will build on the foundation of sacrificial giving established by those who innovated this unique model of Christian education over 25 years ago. As their investment laid the groundwork for what we enjoy today, yours will pave the way for the continued growth and development of parent-partnered “Education with a Higher Purpose”.
